Say Goodbye to Passwords: How to Set Up and Use Passkeys on All Your Devices

Are you tired of forgetting your passwords or constantly resetting them? 2026 is the year of the Passkey. Backed by Apple, Google, and Microsoft, passkeys are a faster, easier, and much more secure alternative to traditional passwords. Here is everything you need to know to make the switch.
What is a Passkey?
Think of a passkey as a digital key stored on your device. Instead of typing a long string of characters, you use your face (FaceID), fingerprint (TouchID), or device PIN to log in to websites and apps. It’s impossible to "guess" and highly resistant to phishing!
How to set it up:
On Google/Android: Go to your Google Account settings > Security > Passkeys. Click "Create a passkey" and follow the prompts.
On Apple/iOS: Go to Settings > Passwords > Password Options. Ensure "Autofill Passwords & Passkeys" is ON. When you sign up for a new service, look for the "Create a Passkey" option.
On Windows: Go to Settings > Accounts > Passkeys. You can manage all your saved passkeys here for Microsoft Edge and other supported apps.
Why you should switch today:
Instant Login: No more typing. Just one biometric scan and you’re in.
Un-hackable: Since there is no actual "password" to steal from a server, hackers have nothing to take.
Sync across devices: Your passkeys sync via iCloud, Google Password Manager, or 1Password, so they are ready whenever you get a new phone or PC.
