Want a more stable connection and faster browsing? Changing your DNS (Domain Name System) is one of the easiest ways to optimize your Windows PC. Most people use their ISP's default DNS, but switching to a global provider like Google or Cloudflare can make a big difference.
Why Change Your DNS?
Speed: Faster response times when loading websites.
Security: Protection against phishing and malicious sites.
Privacy: Less tracking from your Internet Service Provider.
Steps to Change DNS in Windows 11/10:
Open Settings and go to Network & internet.
Click on Wi-Fi or Ethernet (depending on your connection).
Select Hardware properties.
Find DNS server assignment and click Edit.
Change it to Manual and toggle on IPv4.
Enter the following addresses:
Option A: Cloudflare (Recommended for Privacy)
Preferred DNS: 1.1.1.1
Alternate DNS: 1.0.0.1
Option B: Google (Recommended for Speed)
Preferred DNS: 8.8.8.8
Alternate DNS: 8.8.4.4
Click Save, and you're done!
TileTechZone Tip: After changing your DNS, open Command Prompt (CMD) and type ipconfig /flushdns to clear your old cache!
