How to Clean Temporary Files in Windows to Free Up Space and Boost Speed

Is your C: drive turning red? Over time, Windows accumulates gigabytes of temporary files, cache, and old update logs that slow down your system and eat up precious SSD space. Here is how to perform a deep clean in less than 2 minutes.
1. The Modern Way (Storage Sense)
Go to Settings > System > Storage.
Click on Temporary files.
Windows will scan your PC. Select everything you don't need (especially "Previous Windows installations" and "Downloads" if you've saved your files elsewhere).
Click Remove files.
2. The Classic "Run" Command (The Pro's Secret)
Press Windows Key + R on your keyboard.
Type %temp% and hit Enter.
A folder will open. Press Ctrl + A to select everything and then Delete. (If some files are "in use", just click Skip).
Repeat the process by typing temp (without the % symbols) and prefetch in the Run box to clean even more hidden clutter.
3. Use the Built-in Disk Cleanup
Type "Disk Cleanup" in the Windows search bar and open it.
Select your main drive (usually C:).
Click "Clean up system files" for a deeper scan.
Check all the boxes and hit OK.
The Result:
You’ll be surprised how many gigabytes you can recover. Your PC will feel snappier, and you'll have more room for your favorite games!
TileTechZone Tip: Don't use third-party "PC Cleaners" that promise miracles. Windows has all the tools you need built-in, and they are much safer for your registry!
